Review: DON’T LET GO by Harlan Coben

Thank you so much to Dutton Books for providing me with a free copy – all opinions are my own.

Summary:

Detective Napoleon “Nap” Dumas is a man in search of answers. What happened on the fateful night when his twin brother Leo died, the same night that his girlfriend Maura disappeared to never be seen again? Why now, 15 years later, are others in his same high school class showing up missing, or worse, dead? Nap is driven to uncover these secrets, potentially risking his life in the process.

“Daisy wore a clingy black dress with a neckline so deep it could tutor philosophy.”

My Review:

This is a fast-paced read, full of witty dialog and suspense that will have you breezing through its pages. The characters are engaging and the plot is full of twists and turns, and while I was surprised by the ending, it felt a bit forced, and ultimately unbelievable. Additionally, there’s also one scene involving torture that seemed a little out of place.

This was my first Coben novel, and even though it wasn’t perfect, I was thoroughly entertained, and will certainly revisit him again in the future!

I rate this book 4 stars!
