PAPERBACKS FROM HELL: THE TWISTED HISTORY OF 70’s AND 80’s HORROR FICTION by Grady Hendrix is SO AWESOME!! Thank you Quirk Books for sending me a free copy – all opinions are my own.

My favorite era of horror is the 1970’s and 1980’s. My mom and older sister often read the books featured here and given they were always scattered about the house, this book is a trip down memory lane! The many bright, vibrant, and eye-catching pictures will compell you to pick it up time and time again just to flip through its pages. SO MANY FANTASTIC COVERS!! The book is divided up by category: from creepy kids, to gothic and romantic, to weird science, to real estate nightmares! Oh my gawd, dare I mention the freaky looking animals? There is a plethora of fun packed in this book and the quality is OUTSTANDING!

And PAPERBACKS FROM HELL isn’t just a pretty face! It is full of interesting content, witty commentary, and the history of horror during this iconic time period. I was giddy the entire time I looked through it! It will forever be a permanent fixture on my coffee table.

My rating is 5 / 5 stars!
