I am an obsessed fan of Victoria Helen Stone because JANE DOE is amazing. So when I heard she was coming out with a new book, I was all in!

FALSE STEP is not at all what I expected and I loved every minute of it. Think “dark, twisted, and romantic suspense that you will question until the very end”-type of thriller. It’s a perfectly paced, never a dull moment kind of a read. Veronica and Johnny Bradley are a married couple living in Denver, Colorado. Veronica is stunned one day when she sees television footage of her husband carrying three-year-old Tanner Holcomb. Tanner was missing in the wildness for four days so Johnny becomes a media sensation, a hero. There are cracks in the marriage and Veronica is nervous about the media attention as secrets might be exposed.

The focus of the book is on Veronica and Johnny which I absolutely LOVED. Veronica is such a compelling character and love how her life unfolds. I read this book in one sitting because that’s how good it is! An entertaining read full of mystery, secrets, betrayals and lies—trust me, you don’t want to miss this!  Rating 5/5 stars!
